Who we are
StepStory is a walking adventure journal built by Jaydeep Karkare, based in London, UK. You can contact us at hello@stepstory.app.
What we collect and why
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. We use it for one purpose only: to let you know when StepStory is ready and to share occasional updates about the product. We also record which of our four hook cards you clicked (as an anonymous label — achievement, discovery, humor, or identity) so we can understand what resonates with walkers like you. We do not collect your name, location, payment details, or any health data at this stage.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for any purpose other than contacting you about StepStory.
How long we keep it
We keep your email on the waitlist until you ask us to remove it, or until we delete the waitlist after launch — whichever comes first.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@stepstory.app and we will action your request within 7 days.
Unsubscribe
You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@stepstory.app. We will remove you immediately.
Third parties
We use Supabase to store waitlist data (servers in the EU) and Resend to send emails. Both are GDPR-compliant processors. We have no other third-party data relationships at this stage.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
